Inventory Control - Restriction

 

RESTRICTION CONTROL

We use this Control to Restrict item in particular store or particular place.

We have two types of restrictions they are

·        Restrict Sub Inv

·        Restrict Locator

 

1.     Restrict Sub-Inv:

We use this type to restrict item in the particular Sub-inv

Let’s define Restriction,

Now create a item and assign to child org, in child org level at inv tab enable the Restrict Sub inv

Click on tools -> Item Sub-inventories

Now give specific sub-inv to the item where you want to restrict the item

Save the item and now create one more item

Here I’m not going to specify the sub inv for this item

Now let’s perform Transaction for those items

For first item sub-inv is derived automatically for second item it is not showing any sub-inv

Now remove the second item and complete the Transaction

Let’s check the On-Hand qty

 

2.     Restrict Locator:

We use this type to restrict item in the particular Location.

First enable the Locator control

 

Here we can’t restrict locator directly so first we need to restrict sub-inv

Now create a item and assign to child org, in child org level at inv tab enable the Restrict Sub inv and also enable Restrict Locator

 

Click on tools -> Item Sub-inventories

Now give specific sub-inv and locator to the item where you want to restrict the item

Now Let’s perform transaction for that item

Save the transaction and check on-hand qty
